Insert Slider dialog

The dialog appears when you click Insert > Web Controls > Slider on the menu bar, drag Slider from the Toolbox panel, or click the down arrow on the Insert Control Objects button and select Slider from the drop-down list. It helps you to insert a slider into a library component to filter component data. See the dialog.

The following are details about options in the dialog:

Slider Type

Specifies the type of the slider.

• Range of Values
  If selected, you can select a range of values on the slider at runtime.
• Single Value
  If selected, you can select only one value on the slider at runtime, not available for numeric data type.

Select Fields

Specifies the fields to bind to the slider. All the selected fields should be of the same data type.

The common usage is to select one field, and then based on the field to filter the data of the components created from the same data source as the field.

To filter components using different data sources, choose a common field all the data sources contain and select the field in all the data sources.

Customize

Opens the Customize Value dialog to customize the values in the selected fields you want to use on the slider.

Apply To

Specifies the target data components you want to apply the slider to.

OK

Inserts the slider into the library component and closes the dialog.

Cancel

Cancels the operation and closes the dialog.
